alking of Chongqing, what will occur in your mind? Hot pot, Sichuan Opera, muggy

weather and passionate beauties. Chongqing is one of the five national central cities in

China and also one of the four direct-controlled municipalities. It also served as the

provisional Capital of China during the Anti-Japanese War. Its official abbreviation is Yu.

Chongqing also called as Mountain City, Foggy City, and Bridge City.

说到重庆，你会想到什么？火锅，川剧，闷热的天气，抑或是热辣靓丽的川

妹子。重庆，乃中国五大国家中心城市之一。同时，它也是四大直辖市之一。在

抗日战争时期，重庆还曾扮演过中国的临时政府的角色。它的官方缩写为：渝。

此外，重庆的别称还有：山城，雾都以及桥都。

Chongqing has 40 districts under its jurisdiction, covering a land area of 82,400 square km

with a population of 31.44 million. In 2005 a total GDP of 310 billion Yuan was achieved,

the per capita GDP reached US$1,400, being regarded as a most rapid developing city by

the “Report on Investment Environment of Chinese Cities” issued by the World Bank.

重庆的辖区内有40个地方行政区域，拥有82,400平方千米的陆地面积以

及3，144万的人口。在2005年，其GDP总量达到了3，100亿元，其人均国

内生产总值也达到了1,400美元。世界银行发布的《中国投资环境报告》称其为

一个极速发展的城市。

Chongqing covers a large area crisscrossed by rivers and mountains. The Daba

Mountains stand in the north, the Wu Mountains in the east, the Wuling Mountains in the

southeast, and the Dalou Mountains in the south. The Yangtze River runs through the

whole area from west to east, covering a course of 665 km, cutting through the Wu

Mountains at three places and forming the well-known Three Gorges: the Qutang, the

Wuxia and the Xiling from northwest and running through \"the Jialing

Lesser Three Gorges\" of Libi, Wentang and Guanyin, the Jialing River joins the Yangtze in

Chongqing.

的是武陵山脉，而南边的则是大娄山。长江自西向东横贯全境，流程长达665

公里，把巫山从三处分割，形成了著名的长江三峡：瞿塘峡，巫峡和西陵峡。嘉

陵江，从西北流经素有“嘉陵江小三峡”之称的沥鼻峡，温塘峡和观音峡，最后在

重庆汇入长江。

he central urban area of Chongqing is a city with its unique features. Built on mountains

and partially surrounded by the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, it is known as a \"mountain city\"

and a \"city on rivers\".The night scene of the city is very illuminated, with millions of lights

and their reflection on the rivers. Chongqing has the unique scenery of mountains, rivers,

forests, springs, waterfalls, gorges, and caves. Li Bai, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty,

was inspired by the natural scenery and wrote many famous poems like: Song of

Moon ,The River Journey from White King City ,Hard Road In Shu.

重庆的城市中心区具有其独有的特征。由于建立在山脉之上，部分地区被长

江和嘉陵江环绕，因此它以“山城”和“河流城市”而著称。

和洞穴等独特的风景。唐朝的著名诗人李白,曾被这里的自然风光激发灵感，写

重庆，有着丰富的旅游资源。大足石刻，便是重庆的拥有的一项世界文化遗

产。同时重庆还有4个国家公园(三峡,缙云山,钓鱼城，江津区四面山，南川区金

佛山），5个国家级森林公园（小三峡大宁河，双桂山，金佛山，石柱湟水，仙

Chongqing fare is largely a hybrid of Sichuan cuisine and local specialty dishes.

Chongqing\'s city center is filled with restaurants and food stalls where you can pick up a

cheap and filling meal for less than 10 yuan. Local specialties here include dumplings and

pickled vegetables and, different from many other Chinese cuisines, Chongqing dishes

are fitting for the solo diner as they often arrive in small individual sized portions. Among

the delicacies and local specialties are these dishes: Hot pot, Jiangtuan Fish, Pork leg

cooked with rock candy, Qianzhang (Skimmed Soy Bean Cream).

重庆食物很大程度上是川菜和当地特色菜肴的糅合。重庆市中心聚集了众多

餐馆和食品摊位。你可以选择一个便宜的地方，花上不到10块钱就可以吃一顿

饭。当地的特色美食包括饺子和泡菜,与许多其他的中国美食不同的是,重庆菜适

合单独用餐者，因为他们经常前来点取很少量的单人份。在这些美味佳肴和当地

的特色菜里有这样一些菜:火锅,江团鱼，东坡肘子，千张(脱脂大豆面皮)。
