How I Spent My Summer Vacation=

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way．I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations，but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so．I would soon be in the last year of my high—school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations．Though those examinations were still a year away，I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this．

At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this，but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come．With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical．I was not at all bored by this kind of life，for I was sustained by a hope．

Zhang Dong is my best friend. He entered our class last semester. He is a boy. Both of us are good at English, so we often have a chat in English in our spare time. After school, we often play football together on the playground. He runs so fast that I can not catch up with him. He is an excellent student. He not only gets good marks in all subjects but also is very kind and modest. He loves popular songs and also classical music.

Such is my friend, a clever and kind boy. He is highly praised by the teachers and students.

网吧(Net Bar)

With the development of the Intemet, the net bar plays an important role in people's life. More and more people, especially students, like to go to net bars. They are absorbed in playing video games, making bad friends and having a chat with “Meimei” on the net in the bar. Some students often go on playing late into the night in the net bar. As a result, not only does it do harm to their health but also produces a bad effect on their studies. Now a lot of net bars have been shut down in Beijing. But some students go by bus to the net bars at suburbs to play.

Fortunately, more and more parents and schools have realized it. Recently, more than six thousand students ensured that they would be far away from net bars in Jinzhou city, Liaoning Province. It is quite necessary for the students to get rid of the bad habit.

Recently, more and more students would like to go to net bars, especially students. It has become quite commom to go there. They waste too much precious time on playing video games in the net bar. As a result, not only does it do harm to their health but also produces a bad effect on their studies. Their health becomes worse and worse and their studies are neglected. Now a lot of net bars have been shut down in Beijing. But some students go to the net bars at suburbs to play.

明亮的灯光(The Bright Light)

Every night I pass by my neighbor's window, I can see the bright light through it. The light looks especially bright coming from the deep dark night.

One night at about eleven o'clock, it happened that I had something urgent to tell my neighbor. So I went to their house. When I entered the room, I saw a thin girl absorbed in studying. I was informed that she was very industrious but failed in the CollegeEntrance Examination last year. Even so, she never gave up and was encouraged to go on studying hard and try again. Every day she would study hard in the light until late into the night. Therefore, the bright light was not only a companion to her but also a proof of her diligence.

A few days later, I met her again. She told me that even if she couldn't pass the College Entrance Examination, she would never give up studying. When she said this, I saw the bright light and began to understand the saying “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

I usually come home late at midnight. Every night I pass by my neighbor's window, I can see the bright light through it.

One Tuesday night I came home late as usual. When I unlocked the door, I found a note saying, “One of your friends has left you something important in my house. Your neighbor.” Since the light was on, I went to knock at the door. Entering the house, I found a young lady of eighteen or so absorbed in her study. I learnt from her mother that she failed in the College Entrance Examination last year. Even so, she never gave up and was encouraged to go on studying hard and try again. The bright light was not only a companion to her but also a proof of her diligence.

A few days later, I met her again. We had a talk for a while and she told me that even if she couldn't succeed , she wouldn't give up studying. When she said this, I saw that bright light and began to understand the saying “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

篇3：高中英语日记格式

英文日记和汉语日记一样，是用来记叙一天中所发生的有意义的事情或对将来的打算等。日记可分为记事、议论、描写及抒情等。记事型是用英语记述当天自己生活学习中发生的事情。议论型是对生活中的某一事情或情况现象谈自己的看法，发表议论。描写型或抒情型，则是对某人物事物的特征做细致的描述，或针对某事物抒发自己的感情。

1、格式：

一般是在左上角记上当天日期，星期，时间的排列法与书信一致，星期写在日期之后;右上角写上当天的天气情况，表示天气情况的词一般是形容词，如：fine (晴朗的)，cold (寒冷的)，snowy(下雪)，sunny(阳光充足的)，rainy(下雨的)，cloudy(阴天的)等。日记的小标题写在下一行，也可省略不写。

2、时态：

写日记的时间一般是在下午、晚上，有时也可以在第二天补写。因此，日记中所记述的事情通常发生在过去，常用一般过去时;但当记述天气、描写景色或展望未来时，可以用一般现在时或一般将来时。

写法大致和写汉语日记相同，都是在正文之前有日期、星期几及当天的天气情况。注意内容表达要清楚连贯、准确。

The hot sun is like our enthusiasm, because no matter how hot the weather is, we still keep on studying English hard.

Today, the chinese teacher taught us some English songs. I like the song which is called ”seasons in the sun” very much. We all lost ourselves in the beautiful voice. Today our theme is youth. After the teacher spoke. I suddenly understand that maybe being young is our advantage, so we must value every minute. We have to do something significant.

In the afternoon, our American teacher is father who is an associate proferssor of English from central college give us a lesson. He told us something about higher education in the USA. I think it will be useful for our future.

On the other side. I felt uncomfortable today. Perhaps it’s a small regret for such a wonderful day. But I think tomorrow still will be rosy.
